Mary K. Day, 65, of Windom died Sept. 17, 2013, at her home in Windom.
Memorial services were Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Windom with Coralee Krueger officiating.
Special music was provided by Joanne Nelson, organist; and Nadine Forman, vocalist.
LaCanne Family Funeral Service of Windom handled the funeral arrangements.
Mary Kathryn Schuetz was born July 31, 1948, to Herbert and Sally (Christenson) Schuetz in Omaha, Neb. She was baptized and later confirmed at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Plattsmouth, Neb.
She received her education from Plattsmouth Public Schools, graduating in 1966. She attended business college in Omaha, Neb.
In 1970, Mary and Perry C. Hubbard were married in Plattsmouth. They later divorced.
In 1982, she married Donald A. Day in Anoka.
Mary lived in many places over the years including Japan, New York, Oklahoma, Kansas, Australia, Colorado and Pennsylvania as well as the Minnesota cities of St. Paul, Alexandria and, most recently, Windom. She worked as a secretary, realtor, optometrist technician, homemaker and volunteer.
After Don's death in 2012, Mary continued living in Windom.
Mary attended First Presbyterian Church in Windom.
Among the many clubs in which she was involved were Bridge Club, Windom Hospital Auxiliary, BARC, Windom Country Club, Tourist Club, Gourmet Food Club, TOPS and Eagles Club.
She enjoyed shopping, traveling, golf, making friends and, most of all, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her four children: Brandi (Brian) Goeser of Omaha, Neb.; Paul (Ethel) Day of Lincoln University, Pa.; Michelle (Kevin) Allen of Fulshear, Texas; and Denise (Bill) Driscoll of Hatboro, Pa.; nine grandchildren; a brother, Jon (Dee) Schuetz of Plattsmouth, Neb.; and four sisters-in-law: Debra (Dr. Bob) Brumfield of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Sue (Gray) Stall of Norfolk, Va.; Karen (Dr. Mike) Callahan of Galeton, Pa.; and Cindy (Tim) English of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
