Kenneth Roll, 80, of Windom died May 26, 2013, at Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom.
Graveside services were Thursday at Lakeview Cemetery in Windom with Pastor Tim Wrenn officiating.
Kenneth Loren Roll was born Aug. 27, 1932, to Henry and Elma (Van Horssen) Roll in Mt. Lake. He received his education from Westbrook High School.
Ken grew up on a farm near Delft and later moved to several different places, including the East and West Coasts.
After moving back to the Cottonwood County area, Kenneth lived in Jeffers for over 20 years before moving to Windom in 2008. In March, he moved to Good Samaritan Society in Windom.
Throughout his life, Ken worked for farmers and at The Toro Company in Windom. He also did logging, painted railroad bridges and worked with a carnival, among other odd jobs.
He enjoyed spending time with those he loved, especially his friend of over 25 years, Carole Krueger of Windom. Ken especially enjoyed wetlands, woods, nature and hunting. He kept a list of wildlife he saw each day and talked about hunting throughout his senior years.
Survivors include his four siblings: JoAnn Roll Mitchell of Fairmont, Richard (LaVonne) Roll of Lake Crystal, Stanley (Delores) Roll of Park Rapids and Lawrence Roll of Lucan; an aunt, Terena Bottema of Windom; and special friend, Carole Krueger of Windom.
