Ardene Teichroew, 85, of Jeffers died April 29, 2013, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Memorial services were Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeffers with Pastor Cole McCormick officiating.
Special music was provided by Maria Carter, organist; and Roger Quade, vocalist.
Honorary bearers were Ardene's grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Interment was at Mt. Lake City Cemetery in Mt. Lake.
Ardene Erma Ehrreich was born Jan. 17, 1928, to Carl and Selma (Kremin) Ehrreich in Willmar. She was baptized and later confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar. She graduated from Willmar High School in 1946.
In 1947, Ardene married Arnold Teichroew in Willmar. They lived in Willmar until 1949 when they moved to Delft. They moved to Jeffers in 1958.
Ardene worked as deputy treasurer of Cottonwood County for 17 years.
In April 2013, she moved to St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Ardene was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeffers where she was a choir director, sang in the church choir and taught Sunday School. She also was a member of the Jeffers Legion Auxiliary.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, golf, bowling, watching CNN and keeping up with the news. She also enjoyed singing, karaoke, going to church and, most of all, spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Rebekah; a brother, Darwin Ehrreich; a sister, Delna Slavick; and a brother-in-law, Melvin Werder.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Arnold Teichroew of Jeffers; four sons: Dan (Jan) Teichroew of Elk River, David (Kay) Teichroew of Storden, Henry Teichroew and Richard Teichroew, both of Windom; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Violet Werder of Willmar; a brother, Donald (Marilyn) Ehrreich of Copperopilis, Calif.; and a sister-in-law, Ann Ehrreich of Plymouth.
