No news is . . . no news on pairing
By every account I've heard, the spring sports pairing between Mt. Lake, Mt. Lake Christian and Comfrey went very well for the first season.
Were there things that needed to be ironed out? Definitely. I think all parties would agree that getting more games at the Comfrey facilities is important - particularly the baseball field.

Microsoft Office options
Let's face it, Microsoft Office rules when it comes to office suite products that include word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and other office suite apps. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access are seen as "must have" in the greater business world. In my opinion, it is the best product available.

Solving the 10th St. mystery
Several weeks ago, about six Citizen staffers lost our parking spots to an alley reconstruction project.
For a time, it turned us into lost souls. We tried spots all around the block - out front, on side streets and down the street a ways. As one might imagine, we occasionally forgot where we parked.

No more favorite place to be than Windom's Island Park
On page 1, you'll find a story about the Island Park baseball/football field, its conception, construction, a few fun stories from the early years and, briefly, the latest renovations.
During my conversation with Jack Kelly, the primary architect of the park, he mentioned countless names who had a hand in seeing the ballpark move from paper to reality.

The hazards of this job
Generally speaking, my job as a sports reporter is not filled with danger.
While my vantage point to the action is a lot closer than the average fan's, I try my best to stay out of the way while I'm taking pictures.
In all my years of covering sports, I've only been really run into once.
