Do you have questions about Windows 8? Are you concerned about your computer's security? Do you just want to bone up on your e-mail skills? Are you confused with the iPad or Kindle the kids gave you? Have I (or I should say, WECC's) got a deal for you! WECC (Windom Education Collaborative Center) is offering an open lab beginning this fall. The lab is a place where you can take your laptop or small device, or use the WECC computers, and learn at your own pace. It will be open Monday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. A computer geek, such as myself, will be there to answer your questions and help you with your device or computer. We'll show you what to do with it and if we don't know, we'll learn together. The nice thing about the scheduling and format of this lab is that you can come and go whenever you feel like it. You don't have to be there weeks in a row. You can come for a couple of weeks and then skip a bunch. If you get busy or the weather doesn't cooperate, you are not out anything. And you don't have to listen to the geek talk about something you aren't interested in. An 8-session punch card is just $35. Use that card anytime during the next year. It is one of the best learning values around. If you have questions about the lab, contact WECC at 831-2375. Punch cards are available at the WECC office and here at Citizen Publishing Company. See you there!
