HLO 18-21 = 39 RRC 40-29 = 69 Red Rock Central senior Brady Rasmussen lit up the home-court nets Tuesday night, propelling the Falcons to a 69-39 win over Heron Lake-Okabena at Lamberton.
Rasmussen scored a career-high 37 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Rasmussen scored 31 points in the first half, including 11-of-14 from the free throw line in the half.
Spencer Halland added 10 points in the win for the Falcons.
Fulda 45-32 = 77 MLA 48-47 = 95 Mt. Lake Area pulled away in the second half Tuesday, turning a three-point halftime lead into a 25-point edge before claiming a 95-77 win over Fulda at Mt. Lake.
MLA shot a sizzling 57 percent from the field in the game, pounding the paint with 42 made two-point baskets in the contest.
Six Wolverine players finished in double figures, led by Marcus Boyd with 25 points. Drake Harder added 16, followed by Regan Syverson with 15. Sam Paulson scored 13 and Abraham Stoesz and Weston Osland each scored 10.
MCC 32-19 = 51 WWG 47-17 = 64 Westbrook-Walnut Grove raced to a fast start, then slowed the pace down in the second half Tuesday to defeat Murray County Central 64-51 at Westbrook for WWG's first win of the season.
The Chargers battered the Rebels in the lane, particularly in the first half to build a 47-32 halftime lead.
The pace slowed considerably in the second half, as MCC outscored the Chargers 19-17.
Parker Freeburg scored 17 of his 19 points in the first half, while Matt Deprez had 11 of his 19 points in the first half for the Chargers. Andrew Quade added 13 points in the win.
