Eagle girls golf claims SWC title
Trojans sweep Falcons, Wolverines
Trojan girls 165, Falcons 215
Trojan boys 170, Falcons 198, Wolverines incomplete

Worthington earned a sweep of a golf meet Thursday at Prairie View in Worthington, topping Red Rock Central and Mt. Lake Area.

For the girls, Kylie Redenius led RRC with a 48.

For the boys, MLA's Aaron Walzak tied for meet medalist honors by shooting a 40. Brandon Sohre led RRC with a 44.

Charger boys 165, Lakers 192
Laker girls 223, Chargers 226

Westbrook-Walnut Grove and Lakeview split a dual meet Thursday at Rolling Hillsnear Westbrook, with the Charger boys and Laker girls winning.

WWG's boys were led by meet medalist Taylor Lindaman with a 38. Dana Madson added a 40 and Reed Bakken shot a 41.

WWG's Avoree Bakken was the girls medalist, shooting a 50. Paige Erickson added a 55 and Abby Herding shot a 58.

Red Rock Conference Tournament
Murray County Central's boys and Fulda's girls won the team titles at the Red Rock Conference Tournament, played Tuesday at Prairie View in Worthington.

MCC's boys shot a 354, followed by Westbrook-Walnut Grove with a 361. Red Rock Central was fifth with a 389 and Mt. Lake Area was incomplete.

For the girls, Fulda won with a 413. WWG was fourth with a 445 and RRC was fifth with a 448.

Individually, WWG's Dana Madson was the boys meet medalist, firing a 79. Aaron Walzak of MLA was second with an 83 and Brandon Sohre of RRC was fourth with an 84. Taylor Lindaman took eighth with an 88.

For the girls, WWG's Abby Herding took third with a 101. Kylie Redenius of RRC was fourth with a 102, followed by RRC's Makayla Meier in fifth with a 103.

Eagle girls 191, Cardinals 205
Cardinal boys 165, Eagles 179

The Windom Eagle girls golf team clinched the outright regular-season Southwest Conference title Thursday, claiming a 191-205 win at Luverne.

However, the Eagle boys saw their shot at a share of the SWC title fall by the wayside after falling 165-179 to the Cardinals.

Windom's Kelsey Hanefeld earned meet medalist honors for the girls, firing a 45. Megan Will added a 46, followed by Maitland Vollan with a 48 and Miki Bolin with a 52.

Luverne's Mark Spraher was the boys medalist with a 38. Tanner Diemer led the Eagle boys with a 42, followed by Dylan Pigman with a 44 and Cody Sebring with a 46.
