RRC/WWG 223 210 0 = 10-14-4 MCC 181 101 x = 12-10-2 Red Rock Central couldn't crack the win column Tuesday afternoon, taking a pair of losses to Murray County Central in a twinbill played at Sanborn.
In the opener, the Falcons saw a 3-2 lead slip away in the middle innings, taking a 6-3 loss. Angela Hannemann led RRC with three hits. Taylor Willhite took the pitching loss.
In the nightcap, the Falcons had a 4-1 lead in the second inning before MCC scored eight runs in the bottom of the second. RRC battled to within 10-9 in the fourth, but MCC put the game away with single runs in the fourth and sixth innings.
Katie Larsen had four hits to lead the Falcons. Hannemann added three hits. Willhite took the pitching loss.

Worthington 301 600 0 = 10-11-2 Windom 510 031 1 = 11-10-4 The Windom Eagles battled from behind late in the second game of a doubleheader Tuesday to earn a sweep at Worthington by scores of 10-5 and 11-10.
In the opener, the Eagles jumped to the lead with a three-run third inning. Sami Petersen hit a two-run single and Jamie Symens plated a run with a sacrifice fly.
Alyssa Fast added an RBI single in the fourth. Megan Theesfeld belted a solo home run in the fifth and Jasmine Carlson hit an RBI double in the sixth, giving the Eagles a 6-2 lead at the time.
Worthington cut the deficit to 6-4 in the bottom of the sixth, but Windom got four key insurance runs in the seventh. Meegan Hanson hit an RBI single and Fast added a two-run double.
Fast led the Eagles with three hits and three RBI in the game. Carlson and Meghan Vesey had two hits each.
Vesey picked up the pitching win, allowing five runs on six hits. She walked three and struck out six.
In the nightcap, Windom took a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Vesey had a two-run single and Fast ripped a two-run double. Theesfeld's second home run of the day gave the Eagles a 6-3 lead after two.
The Trojans rallied with one in the third and six runs in the fourth, taking a 10-6 lead. But Windom battled back, scoring three runs in the fifth. Hannah Redmond laced a two-run single and a run scored on an error.
In the sixth, the Eagles tied the game when Fast ripped an RBI single. Then, tied 10-10 in the bottom of the seventh, the Eagles earned a walk-off win on an RBI single by Symens.
Fast and Vesey each had two hits in the win.
Vesey earned the pitching victory, working the final 3-1/3 innings in relief. She allowed one run on two hits, walked four and struck out one.
