Trojan girls edge Eagles 1-0

Windom Area 0-0-0 = 0
Worthington 1-0-0 = 1

The Worthington Trojans enacted some revenge on the Windom Area girls hockey team Tuesday night, avenging an earlier loss with a 1-0 decision at the Worthington Arena.

It was the Eagles' third one-goal loss in their last four games.

Windom outshot the Trojans 18-13 in the game, but Worthington's Betsy Thompson scored the game's only goal 6:40 into the first period. The Eagles had three power play chances in the third period, including one with under two minutes to play. Windom pulled goalie Emily Steen for a six-on-four skater advantage but was unable to net the tying goal.

Steen finished the game with 12 saves in the loss.
