Tonight's tasting event puts top wines, beers to the test
The annual Windom Wine & Beer Tasting event is just hours away for the general public and Windom Area Chamber of Commerce.
The popular event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Windom Country Club. It is one of the first big events at the newly-remodeled clubhouse. In addition, there will be cheese and cracker plates offered by Hy-Vee.
Also, the Windom Country Club will have its bar menu available for guests to dine before or after the tasting evebnt.
The cost is $20 at the door. Anna Hassel, executive director of the WACC, said craft beers provided by breweries, such as Take 16 of Luverne and Doll Distributing of Spencer, will return.
Wineries attending the event, include: Indian Island Winery, Phillips, Wirtz, Breakthru, Vinocopia, Paustis & Sons Wine Company, Round Lake Vineyards & Winery and a new addition, Painted Prairie of Currie.
The first 40 guests to arrive will receive a stemless wine glass.
