moves to Lamberton
For 47 years Cottonwood Cattle Producers have hosted one of the beef highlights of Southern Minnesota-the Beef Royale - with relatively few changes.
However, a big change is coming for this year's Beef Royale Live Show. That event has moved from its longtime site at the Double M Ranch near Westbrook, to the Lamberton Stockyards.
The Beef Royale will begin on Sept. 2 with the market steer and market heifers registration beginning at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the feeder calf show registration from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. M.K. Franz, Cottonwood Cattle Producer president, says she encourages all cattle producers to compete for cash prizes.
This is a non-halter pen show for both market and feeder calf animals. For more on this story, see this week's Cottonwood County Citizen and Citizen eEdition.
