12/5/2013 12:02:00 PM Mountain Power Hydraulics announces $1.8-million expansion in Mt. Lake
Mountain Power Hydraulics owner and president Loren Mifek announced today that the company will expand its Mountain Lake plant by building a 40,000-square-foot addition.
"The expansion will allow the company to expand its local workforce by as many as 15 employees, streamline production and accommodate our growing space needs," Mifek explained.
The Mt. Lake EDA will serve as project developer for the $1.8-million expansion. Plans include the City of Mt. Lake providing an economic development incentive to the company in the form of Tax Increment Financing.
"The city of Mt. Lake and the Mt. Lake Economic Development Authority are extremely pleased that the company has decided to expand their businesses in town," said Rob Anderson, Mt. Lake Community Development Director.
Construction is expected to begin as soon as the ground thaws in the spring of 2014.
