Windom light pole crash results in DWI arrest

A 46-year-old Jackson woman was arrested for DWI following a significant accident at the south junction of Highway 60 and 71 in Windom Saturday morning.

According to a report by the Windom Police Department, the Cottonwood County Law Enforcement Center received a call at 6:59 a.m. from a motorist stating that a light pole was blocking lanes at the south junction of Highways 60 and 71. A red Ford pickup was spotted entering the ditch and colliding with a state sign as well as a 35-foot city-owned light pole.

The woman was eventually arrested by the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.
