City tree commission orders 26 trees for Windom

At a recent meeting of the Windom Tree Commission, the commission learned that 26 of the proposed 45 new Windom trees have been ordered for 2014.

Meanwhile, Dave Bucklin of the Cottonwood Soil and Water Conservation District informed the group that 10 trees have died due to the April ice storm and another 15 may succumb to injuries.

Bucklin has proposed writing a grand application to fund replacement trees.
