Street paving underway
at North Windom Industrial Park
As Windom's city newly-reconstructed streets approach the finish line, the same is true at North Windom Industrial Park.
A few weeks ago, the subcontractor began installing the concrete curb and gutter for the industrial park. Approximately 6,200 feet of curbing was installed on Commerce Boulevard, Opportunity Drive and Trotter Court.
During the first week of September, backfilling of black dirt behind the curbs was done, as well as final grading of the roads. The first lift or layer of the asphalt for the industrial park roads was installed last week.
"By late September, the roads should be completed and the sides of the roads seeded with grass," said Aaron Backman, executive directorof the Windom Area Chamber of Commerce.
