The Cottonwood Cattle Producers have postponed the 2013 Beef Royale Live Show, scheduled for today (Tuesday), to next Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Murl Rupp of the CCP informed the Citizen that due to the heat and humidity expected today the Beef Royale, which will be held at Maurice Mitchell's Double M Ranch south of Westbrook, would be moved to next Tuesday when the heat and humidity are expected to subside.
On Sept. 3, market steer and market heifer registration will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feeder calf show registration runs from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Feeder calf judging begins at about 3 p.m. Final selection of the market cattle will be done at 7 p.m.
A hamburger picnice is planned for 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Prior to the evening show, the public will have the opportunity to evaluate five animals for he carcass contest.
