Red Cross blood drives scheduled around county
Whether someone is among the 39% of the U.S. population with type O positive blood or the 2% with B negative, the American Red Cross is looking for eligible donors of all types to give blood this summer to help avert a shortage.
To that end, four bloodmobile stops are planned around Cottonwood County in the coming weeks.
Windom Women of Today are coordinating a stop at the Windom Community Center on July 16 from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Once again, several Windom businesses will be offering incentives for donating. Watch for an update in the July 10 Cottonwood County Citizen.
Stops are also planned for:
July 15, from 2 to 7 p.m., at the Jeffers Senior Center.
July 17, from 2 to 7 p.m., at the Mt. Lake Community Center, 1027 2nd Ave.
July 24, from 1 to 6 p.m., at the Westbrook Community Center, 510 5th St.
