Windom spring clean-ups set for next three years

It's safe to say that after 2013, Windom will no longer have its annual clean-up event in the fall - at least through 2016.

The Windom city council recently approved a long-term deal with Home Sanitation to handle the city's spring clean-ups in 2014-2016. City officials put the clean-up project out on three-year bids because local sanitation firms required more advance notice in order to get spring clean-ups on their schedules.

As it turned out, Hometown Sanitation was the only firm to submit a bid for the clean-up events.
