2/25/2013 2:50:00 PM Windom citywide clean-up could occur in fall of 2013
Apparently, timing is everything when it comes to Windom's citywide clean-up.
A few weeks ago, Windom officials contacted both local refuse handlers - Hometown Sanitation and Waste Management - in hopes of getting a bid for the annual spring citywide clean-up. The response, from both, was that they are simply unavailable for the entire spring.
In fact, it appears the earliest a refuse hauler would be available would be in the fall.
Consequently, the city council recently voted to reject all bids and seek bids for a citywide clean-up in the fall. The council will likely address this matter again at its next meeting.
