2/13/2013 8:29:00 AM 'Teen Fair' planned for Friday at WAHS
The Southwest Crisis Center is hosting a Teen Fair Friday from 1 to 3 p.m., at Windom Area High School for all students in grades 9-12.
Area schools that are part of the Flexible Learning Year will dismiss at 12:45 p.m., on Friday for staff development workshops.
That means all students from Cottonwood and Jackson counties are invited to WAHS to take part in the two-hour event, which is being held in conjuction with February Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.
So, what can area students expect to find at the Teen Fair?
No fair would be complete without booths, activities, refreshments and prizes and the Teen Fair will have all of that and more.
Among the prizes available to teens attending the event are free T-shirts for the first 75 students, a chance to win a Polaroid 7-inch tablet, iTunes gift card, Wal-Mart gift card, McDonald's gift cards and other various grab bags.
Free pop and popcorn will be available to all students.

The Southwest Crisis Center is sponsoring this event and is receiving support from State Farm Insurance, GDF/Ag Builders of Southern Minnesota, Hy-Vee, Thrivent Financial and the Windom Kiwanis Club.
Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month is a national effort to raise awareness about abuse in teen and early adult relationships and promote programs that prevent teen dating violence.
