Princess Kay to visit Windom Monday

Windom Area Schools will receive a visit from the reigning Princess Kay of the Milky Way on Monday.

Christine Reitsma was crowned Princess Kay during last summer's State Fair. Princess Kay serves as a primary spokesperson for the Minnesota dairy industry during her one-year reign.

Reitsma will visit with Windom students during the afternoon Monday, talking about the importance of nutrition and exercise. She will also be on hand during the girl/boy basketball doubleheader between Windom and Adrian.

Kids ages 12 and under will get free admission to Monday's doubleheader. There will be various activities for kids ages 12 and under at halftime of both games, with prizes for participants. There will also be a drawing for T-shirts.

The Princess Kay visit was organized by WAHS senior Jacob Johnson as part of his Eagle Achievement Project.
