Commissioners approve Plum Creek contract, despite concerns

It appears Cottonwood County's future with the Plum Creek Library System Outreach Services is a bit sketchy beyond 2013.

Recently, Cottonwood County commissioners approved a one-year contract with Plum Creek by a 3-1 vote (with Commissioner John Oeltjenbruns casting the lone dissenting vote). However, it was not without some hesitation.
Commissioners wondered aloud whether the agreement is worthwhile. There have been changes to the bookmobile portion of the contract and commissioners want to see how those pan out.

Also, the board will request a meeting with Mark Ranum in the spring. That meeting is designed to help commissioners make a more informed decision on the future of this partnership.
