BREAKING: Mt. Lake Area postpones football game due to potentially dangerous weather

Mt. Lake Area Athletic Director Adam Bibbs informed the Citizen Friday afternoon that this evening's scheduled football game between the Wolverines and Randolph has been postponed due to the potential for dangerously severe weather in the region late this afternoon and evening.

The game has been rescheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Munson Field in Mt. Lake.

The decision was made to postpone the game due to the fact the Randolph team has a lengthy bus trip and the uncertainty over the weather. Forecasts throughout the day Friday have shown the region on the outer edges of an area with a moderate risk for severe weather this afternoon and evening.

At this point, this is the only football game in the area scheduled for tonight that has been postponed.
