Stolen vehicle turns up hours later in Windom

A stolen SUV was reported on the Windom Police Department's Nixle system on Saturday and recovered a couple of hours later.

The report was filed on department's online emergency public notification service (www.nixle.com) at 9:56 a.m. on Saturday. According to police, a blue 2000 Ford Explorer was taken from a home in the 1300 block of 5th Ave.

Someone took the vehicle between 1 a.m. and 10 a.m. Saturday. Around noon, while the police was searching for the vehicle, the car's owner spotted it in a driveway off an alley at 12th St.
